Michael Turner earned a Masters Degree in Construction Management from the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC, and has decades of additional training. Although Missouri does not license contractors, California does and that state’s contractors board has previously licensed the Turners to perform demolition, general engineering contracting, earthwork/excavation/grading/paving, tree removal, construction clean-up, hazardous materials abatement, and even general building contracting. Not many contractors have met the requirements to obtain that breadth of licensing classifications, but we have. We have a wealth of both "on the job learning" and also "formal, degreed knowledge"

The Past

After working in the industry for years with his brothers and for another land clearing and demolition contractor, Roy Turner received his first demolition contractors license in 1986. He later founded Magnum Land Clearing, Inc. with his wife and son Michael and, along with other family members and neighbors, built it into a successful contracting corporation providing land clearing, demolition, dump trucking, excavation, and related contracting specialties.

For more than two decades, that corporation was run by the Turner family and served customers of all kinds in Southern California and along the way earned an enviable reputation for completing projects on-time, on-budget, and to the complete satisfaction of our clients. The company performed projects of all sizes – from as small as a driveway project to as large as major commercial developments – and ALL types – agricultural, commercial, residential, industrial, and even public works projects. The Turners have been privileged to be directly involved with many notable projects for many notable clients through Magnum Land Clearing, Inc. The Present

The Turner family moved from California to the Missouri Ozarks for numerous reasons. Their original plan was to also relocate Magnum Land Clearing, Inc. to the Ozarks along with their family; however, differing state regulations made relocating that business technically unfeasible. As such, a new company was formed – Turner Heavy Equipment Company LLC – in Laclede County, Missouri to provide the same services to their neighbors here in the Missouri Ozarks.
